Meiko: Average young adult indie rock sorta girl. While not bitter about it, she is sorta miffed that she's not as popular as her younger friend Miku. Is prone to psychotic moments. A tad bit of a tsundere for her childhood friend, Kaito.

Miku: The stereotypical main character; up beat cheerful, enthusiastic, young and naive. The type of girl who doesn't quite understand how famous she is. Despite being the bigger success, still veiws Meiko as her hero.

Rin: All hail the problem child! Mischievous young DQN with tomboyish tendencies and a personal war to claim Miku's crown(though it doesn't get in the way of their friendship)Antics include stealing a steam roller, illegally modifying a steam roller, street racing a steam roller, and car surfing on a steam roller. Enjoys her celebrity lifestyle, spends tons of her money on clothes and what she can't but she steals from prop closets. I also think she's a very emotional singer, every time I hear a song I can almost hear her dancing in the recording both.

Len: If he were an only child he'd be a quiet, hard studying, academic type who sings in the school choir. Luckily for him he's a Kagamine. While still having quite a bit more common sense and a better ability to reason than his sister he still qualifies as a delinquent. Also unlike Rin, whose musical training consist of mainly watching MTV, singing into hair brush in her underwear, and coming in third place in a four person karaoke contest, Len a bit more formal training hence his epic ability to hit the high notes. Admit it, you creamed your pants when you first heard him sing.

Kaito: An average fellow caught up in a bad situation. With a tsundere friend, a naive young popstar, and a pair of hardcore pop punks this guy has got it hard. A sarcastic type who's jokes tend to get taken seriously and like wise gets him hurt. Sees himself as Len's main male role model, much to Len's chagrin. Also has a few minor pervert tendencies which:
1.Gets his ass beat by Meiko
2.Flies over Miku's head
3.Gets him kicked in the shin by Rin who was going to kick him anyway.
